Robert Holmes

Robert Holmes is a songwriter from the northern hills of Belfast. His music veers from the dark and fractured, to the playful and belligerent. Drawing on his surroundings and the unlikely characters that inhabit them, Robert's narratives address a wide scope. There are songs about wide open fields and lush hilltops, excess and displacement, love, bile, heartache, joy, blackness and light. And of course mountain goats of which he has only met one.
